This week’s prompt for Wicked Wednesday is “I am in the Mood…” Immediately music came to mind. One song in particular which you will see further down in this post.
Music has this ability to change one’s mood in an instant. It can also feed your mood, build on what you are already feeling. Remember those teenage angst years? What did you listen to? Were you into the upbeat, fast tempo pop tunes that put a smile on your face and got you dancing around your room singing at the top of your lungs? Did you drown in your sorrows listening to melancholy, nobody understands me grunge tunes while hiding away from the world in your room? Maybe you were one of those who rebelled with punk or heavy metal blaring top notch from your ear buds. I used to dance around my bedroom singing at the top of my lungs. I still do. Just not in the shower. It’s not safe to dance like that in the shower.
Whatever you listened to then, or what you listen to now, you can not argue the effects of music.
I am in the mood for a melody with Robert Plant. A playful tune to get you grooving.
I am in the mood for some of your love John Lee Hooker and Bonnie Raitt. Smooth and bluesy.
I am in the mood for love with Doris Day. So sexy, soft and emotional. You can’t help but be moved.
I am in the mood for love with Johnny Mathis. What can I say? Johnny Mathis baby! This is the song that came immediately to mind with this week’s prompt.
