That’s right, I’ve moved to a new self hosted site stellakiink.com. This blog will remain active for now but will be closed and redirected to the new site soon. Even though I’ve posted on various social media accounts I know not everyone will be aware of the move until they come here to check in.

As part of this move I will be transferring current subscribers to the new site, hopefully. I’m not very technically inclined so there’s a realistic chance it won’t work. If you currently follow me here I want to thank you for all your support and urge you to go over to the new site, stellakiink.com, bookmark it and subscribe there. I’ve already made a couple posts today and I wouldn’t want you to miss anything. 🙂

I look forward to having you all by my side on this new adventure.

P.S. This week’s Wicked Wednesday prompt is “Try something new.” It’s been a while since I’ve posted to Wicked Wednesday, but I felt it apt to post this notice as I started posting for Wicked Wednesday from the very beginning of my very first blog. It somehow feels right that my last post here will be to the Wicked Wednesday meme as well.

One year! Stella Kiink is one year old today! I know this may seem paltry to some of you who have been blogging for years, but for me it’s a big deal. I wasn’t sure I could make it a month let alone a year, and now I am already planning things for the coming year.

When I began blogging it was more of a challenge than a true desire to blog. A friend and I were discussing the merits of 50 Shades of Grey (I know, laugh away), and he said I could do better. After reading it I am sure I could in some respects, but I also know he could do much better if he was so inclined as well. I believe I am a far better editor than I am a writer and the thought of writing a book is quite overwhelming to me at the moment. Editing one can be difficult enough at times. I do hope to write one in the future, but for now my little blog suits me just fine.

I wanted to write something fabulous for Wicked Wednesday, really I did, but being at the cottage the last few days with no internet, along with the problems I’ve been having with WordPress on my phone, it hasn’t quite worked out. I am looking forward to reading everyone else’s dirty talk though. Wasn’t it nice of Marie to have you all talk dirty for me this week? Haha… Maybe I will find some inspiration here for another week.

I thought that today, in honour of my first anniversary blogging as Stella Kiink, I would share a few of my favourite photos from the past year. I hope you enjoy and stick around for year two.

TMI – #4

1. Do you write/manage another blog?

Not currently. I used to have two blogs but shut the other down late last year to focus solely on this one. Even with both of the blogs, I still have months to go before I’ve been blogging a year.

2. Pick 3 random blogs from your blogroll and tell us why they are on your blog roll.

Rollings Reliable – Olivia blogs about life, geekery, yoga, etc. and throws a delicious recipe in there to go along with it all. With posts such as These are a few of my fava beans…, Are you gourd with pumpkin pie yet?, Horny as a Goat Tacos, and Delicious RIB-ulations of a Zombie Rising, how can one not me intrigued? She has a “secret wish to become the star of my own SyFy channel tv series…all while still finding time to cook and bake.” She’s like Comic Con meets Alton Brown meets Julia Child, but in the guise of a beautiful young blonde. An amazing combination you wouldn’t have thought would work until you see it in action.

Plumptuous Pea’s Pod – I love Pea! She is poetic not only in words, but with her images and recordings as well. She brings us in and makes us feel as though we are living her thoughts and dreams right along with her. She opens her heart up to us as if we’ve each been her best friend a million years. Everything she writes is touching, truly, and yet my favorite posts are her erotic aurals. You must go take a listen if you have never heard her lilting voice speak to you.

Princess and I – Franco Bolli’s blog is honest and forthright and touching. He tells us of his love for Princess, moments of his life with her. He shares not only the beautiful intimate moments with her, but also tells us of the struggles they face with her family. There are sad times and joyous times, and each comes across as heartwarming moments in his life. In addition to his words, he also shares some of his beautiful photography with us as well. His blog reads like a diary, a diary of a dominant man in love.

3. Look around your blog, tell us about two pages or links you want us to visit, be sure to provide a link to them in your answer to this question.

Becoming – I am very proud of how this series has started and the story I wish to tell. It is about a couples journey into BDSM. Many people who are not in the lifestyle do not understand what it is all about and assume many things which aren’t true at all. I want to show the loving side, to show that there are real relationships with regular problems that need to be worked on and dealt with the same as in any vanilla relationship. I also wanted to show that people do not just haphazardly jump into this lifestyle or these kinds of relationships. It is more often something that develops for a couple over time, with trust and commitment.

Casual – I wanted to include this post because it is the very first thing I ever wrote for a blog. It was for a friends blog at the time, but I reposted it on my own blog a little while ago. I read it recently, and again while working on this post, and it still stands true. Every relationship begins as something casual, in many varying degrees and timeframes mind you, but still. The only difference for me, if I were writing this today, is that I want something more than casual now. I want to share my life with someone, my whole life, and I believe that in time I will.

4. Do you have any unique interests that you have never shared before? What are they?

Unique? Aren’t each of us unique in our interests? Say we have five people in a stamp collecting club and they each collect 200 stamps over a year. One collects only stamps of animals, another historical figures, and another anything with a face value of less than $0.50. One compiles his stamps in a zippered binder in plastic baseball card sheets, another has hers all thrown together in a little lidded box, and yet another mounts and frames his in collections behind glass. They are all doing the exact same thing but in completely different ways. So yes, I do have unique interests I have not shared before. They will remain unique and unshared, to the general public at least.

5. What’s your current obsession?

Weather! Honestly, I’ve never paid much attention to the weather. If I had plans I would sometimes check the evening before if it was something that would depend on the weather, but generally I would just wake up and look out the window to see what it’s like. Recently, with making plans to visit Him south of the border, I have become obsessed with checking the weather. I have three different weather apps on my phone and the weather network set as my home internet page at the office. I have the apps set to show my city, His city, the city we were meeting in, and a few others where family are. It’s become quite ridiculous. Funny thing though, when we were away together this past weekend I did not check the weather at all.

Bonus: Has blogging helped or hurt your sex life?

A bit of both I believe. A while back one man I had been chatting with stopped talking to me because of something I posted on my blog. He said that he wasn’t kinky enough for me. Turns out he was pretty kinky based on what he told me, but he couldn’t differentiate between what was real and what was not. It hurt in the fact that we never got to explore things further, but it also helped because I didn’t waste a lot of time on him to then find out he had issues with some things I say or do.

More recently, He read my blog (all of it, in its entirety, in two days) and he said that it helped him get to know me and he was intrigued. He inherently knows the truth from the fiction, which is a wonderful thing. It’s like common sense, either you have it or you don’t. Where my blog and I are concerned, He has it. He is kinky like me, so knowing we are similar in that sense going in helps a lot.
